Description:
This course is designed as an introduction to Chemistry and Physics. It will give students opportunities to acquire knowledge and understanding and to develop scientific skills through practical experience. Topics covered include metals, bonding, acids and bases, nuclear energy, electricity and motion.

Assessment is continuous throughout the year. Physical Sciences SC786 C is an externally assessed University entrance subject. Assessment will include a three hour external examination in November.
Prerequisite(s): This course would useful for students planning to proceed to further study in Year 12 Chemistry and Year 12 Physics. It is expected that students enrolling in this course will have studied 10 SC425 B Science and 10 MT422 B Mathematics.
